A Medical Anomaly Quickly Mutates Into A Global Phenomenon-manifesting In Eerie, Unpredictable Forms Across Two Conti... Imdb: 3.70 Comment: Stumbling Upon The 2026 Movie `the Last Apocalypse`, From Director Cody Carpenter, And Never Having Heard About It, Of Course I Had To Check It Out. However, Seeing The Movie`s Cover, I Have To Admit That I Immediately Figured That The Cover Would Over-sell The Movie By A Landslide, And Most Likely End Up With The Cover Being The Best Thing About The Entire Ordeal. And The Cover Looks Like It Came Straight Off Of The Ai Press.
So I Sat Down To Watch `the Last Apocalypse` Without A Single Shred Of Expectation Or Hopes Of This Being A Worthwhile Movie.
To Whomever Wrote The Script For This Movie, I Applaud You. Rarely Have I Stumbled Upon Such A Heap Of Incompetent Storytelling And Writing. Talk About A Stinker Of A Narrative, Which Made Very Little Sense. It Felt Like Whomever Wrote This Script Was Just Randomly Pulling Scraps Of Paper Out Of A Bag, Upon Which Were Written Random Concept Ideas. And Then That Pile Of Nonsensical Scraps Of Random Plot Ideas Were Placed On The Table And Attempted To Put Into Order To Form A Narrative. And The End Result? A Laughably Bad Jumbled Mutated Excuse Of A Narrative.
The Fact That I Wasn`t Familiar With A Single Actor Or Actress On The Cast List, Was Perhaps The Best Thing About `the Last Apocalypse`. The Acting Performances In The Movie Were Adequate, Which Was A Surprise Because They Virtually Had Nothing To Work With In Terms Of Script.
The Effects In The Movie Were Adequate, But Stood No Chance As There Was No Worthwhile Narrative To Support Them.
Do Yourself A Huge Favor And Stay Well Clear Of `the Last Apocalypse`. Some Of Us Literally Suffered Through This Travesty Of A Movie, So You Don`t Have To. You`re Quite Welcome!
Needless To Say That This Movie Will Never, Ever See A Second Viewing On My Screen.
Oh, And I Was Right About The Movie`s Cover, It Was The Best Thing About The Entire Ordeal. And Yes, It Did Over-sell The Movie By A Landslide.
